Martin Currie, the specialist active equity manager, has bolstered its distribution team in Australia with the hire of a new business development manager, Eu-Jene Teng, who joins the firm on June 11. He will be based in Melbourne and will be focussed on the institutional market.
Eu-Jene will be responsible for actively identifying opportunities to promote Martin Currie’s core suite of Australian and global investment capabilities to institutional clients across the Pan-Asia region, working closely with Kimon Kouryialas, head of Pan Asia.
Eu-Jene has more than 18 years of financial services sales experience. He joins Martin Currie from Pinnacle Investment Management where he was an associate director of institutional sales and covered private debt, Australian equities, global equities and direct infrastructure. He has also held BDM positions at Macquarie Investment Management, Vanguard, Orchard Funds and Macquarie Professional Series.
