IO&C expands management team

IO&C, the conference business which produces this newsletter, has recruited the services of John Hamer, an experienced funds management executive, as a consulting conference producer.

Hamer, who was most recently a sales and marketing executive in funds management at Pengana Capital, will be working part-time with IO&C, which is a business unit of Binalong Advisory Services, starting immediately. He will retain his directorship and consulting work for the public relations firm of Shed Media.

His 25-year career includes being country head for US manager Nicholas Applegate and holding senior marketing roles at Suncorp Investment Management, Challenger, BNP Paribas and BT Funds Management.

  • For IO&C, Hamer will be assisting in all aspects of conference production and sales, starting with the Shanghai Conference on World’s Best Practice in investment operations and custody, being held this April 29-30.
